Marco Borrani,

I’m a photographer and photo reporter based in Florence and Milan.
I started as an actor.
It still shows, sometimes.

As my mentor Toni Thorimbert once said, “being shy is a convenient excuse.”
I decided to stop being a shy actor and became an intrusive photographer, sometimes slightly annoying, when necessary.

Travel became part of the process, shaping the way I observe and build images over time.

My work moves between portrait and reportage.
I work mostly with people: actors, musicians, familiar faces.
Or just people, depending on how you look at it.

I look for presence, tension, and moments that don’t try too hard.
They tend to be the most honest.

I’ve photographed, among others, Elodie, Alfa, Ermal Meta, Noemi, Brunori Sas, Pierpaolo Spollon, etc…

In 2025, I was the only official photo reporter at the Concertone del Primo Maggio in Rome.
Something came out of it: Il Corpo del Primo Maggio.
